Why is it called Five Star?

The first copy the comic was originally drawn in Mead Five Star notebooks. Those old notebooks shall never again see the light of day, but I'll at least acknowledge them in the name of the comic.

Why do Mir the Hero and Mir the Gnome have the same first name? That's so dumb!
Yes, yes it is. It really just kind of happened, honestly. I used to name a lot of characters Mir. For the record, I've had three characters with the name, though there's more if you count avatars in video games.

How long have you been drawing this thing?
As of January 2006, eight years. I still love it, too. It might be a ridiculous story, but I still love it.

I've noticed some links between this and an old Sierra adventure game. Is this a FAN COMIC!?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Sort of. The original three or so pages were doodled at the same time that I was playing Quest for Glory. Those starred the unnamed character of the game, who I named Mir, and a little avatar for myself, who I also named Mir. Since then, Hero has become a real character, and Mir is no longer a representation of me. However, there are still a couple of characters in my comic with names from Quest for Glory, such as Erana (and later, Keapon). The story is different. The settings are different. Even the characters I swiped are changed considerably. You decide if it's a fan comic.

How long will it be?
Ehehehe. Long...if I continue all the way to the end. However, I've been working on it for this many years, why give up now?
